College Credit Plus

College Credit Plus (CCP) Participation for the 2024 - 2025 School Year
Step-by-Step Process

  1. Review the 2024-2025 College Credit Plus Presentation
The state of Ohio mandates that all school districts make College Credit Plus information available to students and parents each year. Important information, including updates and changes to the CCP program are outlined in this presentation. It is imperative that you and your student carefully review the presentation that is posted on this website. Please ensure that your student follows the policies and procedures set forth by the College Credit Plus Program and the Ohio Department of Higher Ed. For additional information please visit here.
  2. Complete the 2024-2025 College Credit Plus Intent to Participate Form
Please complete all sections of this form to make your intent to participate in the CCP program during the 2024-2025 school year official. This form must be completed by 11:59pm on April 1, 2024 to participate in the CCP program at any time during the 2024-2025 school year. ALL CCP STUDENTS (returning and new) must complete this form each year. No late forms will be accepted.        IMPORTANT: Students must complete the form using their students.springboro.org email address.
  3. Complete the online CCP application for the college you wish to attend
Students should NOT use their Springboro email when applying for CCP. See university websites to the right for applications.
  4. Determine 2024-2025 course plan
Determine the SHS courses and CCP courses you plan to take during the 2024-2025 school year. A student must be enrolled in a minimum total of 5 courses (SHS and CCP) each semester. A student may not exceed 30 credit hours for the entire year (Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2024) between SHS and CCP courses. Please refer back to the 2024-2025 College Credit Plus Presentation for the formula to determine how many courses you can take at SHS and CCP.
  5. Request SHS courses
Enter SHS course requests through the online scheduler no later than February 20, 2024. When requesting courses at SHS, include a "CCP" course request (CCP1, CCP2, CCP3, CCP9, and/or CCP10) for each class period the student would like to be out of the building to work on CCP courses.  Students can only request to be outside of the building for certain class periods.  However, counselors will work to consolidate SHS courses as much as possible to accommodate requests.
  6. Student will receive CCP acceptance notification from the college
Students will receive notification from the college regarding acceptance once all application materials have been processed. Students should check personal email and/or the email set up by the participating college for this notification.
  7. Follow college procedures for registering for CCP classes
Once the student has been accepted into the CCP program, the participating college will provide the student with procedures for registering for CCP classes.  The student will register for classes directly with the college.  SHS counselors do not register students for CCP courses.
  8. Complete the CCP Schedule Response Form and Textbook Request Form
Students must complete BOTH of these google forms which will be available in early August 2024. Students must be logged in to their Springboro account in order to complete the forms.
  9. Stay up do date with the Springboro High School Newsletter (click here to sign up)
This is a lengthy process that begins in January and extends through the summer. Be sure to check the high school newsletter for additional CCP information that is provided throughout the school year.

We strongly suggest you familiarize yourself with the state CCP website, especially the FAQ section, as many of your questions are answered there and it is a great resource for questions you may have in the future.
