The ACT will be administered to the entire SHS junior class (class of 2023) on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  The state administration will be taken online and without the optional Writing portion.

Important information for students and parents:

=         Students DO NOT register for this test on their own.  All pre-administration information will be completed at Springboro High School.

=         Only Juniors (class of 2023) are required to report to SHS on March 15, 2022.  Seniors, sophomores, and freshmen are expected to use this day to attend a college visit, job shadow in a career of interest, and/or complete assignments provided by their teachers.

=         SHS will operate on a modified schedule similar to semester exams.  Students will report to their assigned testing location no later than 7:30 am.  Students who have arranged for alternate transportation are not required to stay at SHS after testing.  Students who rely on school transportation will be required to stay at the high school in the commons until the usual 2:25 pm dismissal time.  Students remaining at SHS will be able to use this time to study independently and with peers.

=         ACT requires that students present a photo ID upon entering their testing room.  Proper photo ID includes a state-issued driver’s license or a Springboro High School photo ID card.

=         Calculators are permitted for the mathematics portion of the test.  Students are required to bring their own calculator to the test if they choose to use one.  Please review the ACT Calculator Policy.  SHS will not provide calculators for this test.

=         College Credit Plus Juniors: there will be no makeup session for this State Funded ACT on March 15, 2022.  All juniors are required to report to SHS to take the state sponsored ACT at the scheduled time.

Free resources to help your student prepare for the test can be found here under "Online Testing Resources."

Non-Test information will be completed by students in the testing room on test day. Students will be asked to create an account through MyACT, including a username and password. Students will need to use a non-SHS email address to create their ACT account. Students who have registered to take a previous ACT will need to provide their username and password. Students will be able to choose up to 4 colleges to receive their scores at no cost.
