Mission Statement

Springboro Community City Schools’ strategic plan reads that “the mission of the Springboro Community City Schools is to excel in educating and motivating all students to become life-long learners and productive citizens.” To that end, according to the Board policies and by-laws, opportunities are provided for students of different interests and abilities to progress in various directions and at varying rates with a commitment to meet the needs of all students. Across the district, efforts are being made to better serve the needs of students whose needs cannot be met by the standard curriculum. This includes gifted students. Particular care is taken to ensure the inclusion of children who may be overlooked by virtue of a disability, cultural or linguistic diversity, or socio-economic disadvantage.

Gifted Services

Leadership to address the gifted services in the Springboro Community City School District is provided by the Gifted Services Coordinator and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. The district employs four Gifted Intervention Specialists to provide classroom teacher assistance in grades K-2 and 6-8 and direct gifted services to teachers and students in grades 3-5. To meet the needs of the district’s gifted population, several approaches are established at various levels of development.
