Information
Mr Don Miller, a Civilian Financial Manager for the Air Force Research Laboratory and Air Force Reservist for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), separated from active duty in 2004 after eight years of service. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from St. Leo University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Wright State University. In 2003, Don and his wife Melissa chose to make Springboro their permanent home so their school age children, Shae and Storm McGuire and Mason Miller, could benefit from the excellent schools and close knit community. His father was a teacher for the Massillon City School District for 35 years and his mother is currently employed by that District. Due to his upbringing and desire to contribute to his own community's education system, Don has been active in the Springboro Schools bond and levy campaigns and Strategic Planning Committee as well as various youth sports programs.

Mr. Ira Thomsen, Vice-President
Mr Ira Thomsen is a 1976 graduate of Cornell University and a 1979 graduate of Drake University School of Law. He is married to Susan, a software engineer at LexisNexis, and has four children, Michael (Class of 2009), Nicholas (Class of 2011), Kelila (Class of 2013), and Matthew (Class of 2015). Mr Thomsen has been a resident of Springboro for twenty years and has practiced law in Springboro for ten years. Mr Thomsen has coached SCBA baseball for ten years. He is the past President of the Board of Trustees of the Miami Valley Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and a past trustee of the American Bankruptcy Law Forum. He currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the Dayton Visual Arts Center. "We are the stewards of our children's futures and are charged with the responsibility to ensure that education allows each child to fulfill his or her dream". Mr. Thomsen recognizes and embraces the role of the School Board in realizing this goal.

Mrs. Diane Trifiro, Board Member
Mrs Diane Trifiro and her husband, Tony, have two sons. Adam is a 2003 graduate of Springboro Schools and David is a 2007 graduate of Springboro Schools. Mrs Trifiro is an active volunteer in the community and school system. Mrs Trifiro is the recipient of the Ohio School Board Association's Award of Achievement. She has been a member of the district's policy committee, athletic council, and curriculum council while a board member. Mrs Trifiro also serves as the District's Student Achievement Liaison for OSBA. She also serves on the OSBA SW Region Executive Committee. She is currently serving in her third term as a school board member.

Mr. Michael Kruse, Board Member
Mr Michael Kruse and his wife Susan have been married for 24 years and have two children. Elizabeth, a 2003 graduate of Springboro Schools and David, currently attending Springboro High School. Mr Kruse completed his college education at Xavier University and then served 4 years in the US Army as a Military Policeman. He has 28 years in the US Postal Service, the past 7 years serving as Springboro's Postmaster. Mr Kruse is a 13 year resident of Springboro and has been actively involved in community and school organizations. He has been associated with the Springboro Rotary, Springboro Chamber of Commerce, Superintendent's Business Advisory Council, Financial Advisory Council, and Strategic Planning Committee. Mr Kruse also served on the Warren County Pre-Professional Advisory Board at the Warren County Career Center.

Mr. Craig Colston, Board Member
Mr Craig Colston is a graduate of Wilmington College and was an educator for 10 years. Craig and his wife Shay have been married for 6 years. Craig's son Zach, a sophomore at the Ohio State University, is a student assistant for the girls volleyball team and is majoring in Sports Management. Craig is currently in the financial advisor services profession and has been for the past 18 years. He is serving in his second term as a school board member.
