Larry R. Hook, Assistant Superintendent of Schools

 

Image of Larry HookMr. Larry Hook begins his seventh year as Assistant Superintendent with the Springboro Community City School District. Mr. Hook’s educational career has spanned the public secondary level as well as the college and university levels. He has taught Microbiology, Genetics, Bioecology, Biology, Exercise Physiology and a variety of Physical Education courses. He has been a Head Football and Head Track Coach at the high school and collegiate levels, as well as being an Assistant Athletic Director, Assistant High School Principal, Junior High Principal, High School Principal and Assistant Superintendent. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Central University of Iowa where he was a four year starter and an All-Conference center on the 1974 National Championship Football Team. He received his Master’s degree and additional post-graduate work from Xavier University and has earned his Superintendent’s certification with the Ohio Department of Education. In 1994, Mr. Hook was selected by his former students for induction into “Who’s Who Among American Teachers.”  Mr. Hook is married to Paula, and has 5 children, Nicole, Aaron, Lindsee, Hayden, and Haylee. Besides spending time with his family, Larry enjoys running and is an avid scuba diver.
