Gene Lolli, Superintendent

 

Image of Gene LolliGene Lolli begins his third year at Springboro Community Schools. This is his 20th year in education. Gene began teaching in the Middletown City Schools during the 1990-91 school year. He became a building principal in northeast Ohio in 1994 serving at Field Local Schools, Stow High School and Hudson High School. Gene was named assistant principal at Springboro High school in 2008. In June of 2010 he was named Interim Superintendent and was hired as Superintendent in November 2010. Gene received his Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Dayton. He also holds a principal’s licensure from Kent State University and a superintendent’s licensure from the University of Akron. Gene resides in Middletown with his wife Elizabeth. They have two sons, Matthew, 26 and Benjamin, 24. Matthew is a graduate of the University of Akron and is a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Monroe and is married to Tiffany who is an ELL Tutor for Monroe Local Schools. Benjamin is a graduate from Kent State University and coaches college football at Walsh University.

Sandra Warner, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction

 

Image of Sandra WarnerMrs. Sandy Warner begins her fifth year at Springboro Community School District as Director of Instruction. This is her 32nd year in education. Her educational career consists of 21 years of classroom experience in multiple levels from grades 1-8, with 14 of those years in first grade. She has served as the Director of Curriculum and Language Arts specialist at the Educational Service Center in Portage County, Ohio for three years, moving to Greene County Educational Service Center in the same capacity also for three years. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Ashland University for 5 years, and taught the Ohio Academic Content Standards to teachers through Wright State University. Mrs. Warner received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an elementary math minor through Bowling Green State University, with her Master’s Degree attained through the University of Akron. She has taken post-graduate classes through Ashland University. Mrs. Warner resides with her husband, Phil, in Wilmington. They have two daughters, Erin and Lindsay. Erin also a graduate of Bowling Green, resides and works in Gahanna, OH. Lindsay is a graduate of Otterbein College, lives and works in the Columbus, OH area.

George Long, Business Manager / Director of Human Resources

 

Image of George LongMr. George Long begins his ninth year with the Springboro Community School District. His work with schools has been exclusively on the business side of the district, holding prior positions as Director of Food Services, Director of Transportation, and Business Manager prior to starting with Springboro Schools. This year, Mr. Long added the responsibility of Human Resources to his work load. He received his Bachelor degree from Wilmington College in business and attained his Master of Education from Ohio University. Mr. Long is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education as a school district treasurer and business manager. Mr. Long, and his wife Jennifer, are the parents of two girls, Erin and Lydia.

Kathy Gilbert, Director of Special Education

 

Image of Teresa RandMs. Kathy Gilbert has been an employee of Springboro Community City Schools since January 2005. She began her position in the district as a School Psychologist at Springboro Junior High and Springboro High School. After 1 1/2 years, she became Springboro’s Special Education Coordinator. Now, three (3) years later, she has accepted the position of Director of Special Education. Ms. Gilbert received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Specialist in Education degrees from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and holds Ohio certifications in the areas of Elementary Education 1-8, School Psychology, and Administrative Specialist Pupil Services Administration. Her education career includes performing as a School Psychologist at the elementary, junior high and high school levels, as well as supervising preschool through high school.
