District Custodial and Maintenance Services
Springboro’s Custodial and Maintenance Departments take great pride in maintaining over 516,380 square feet and keeping them in good condition. An ongoing preventative maintenance program identifies those areas of the buildings that need renovation, replacement, and/or repairs.
Over the summer of 2002, the District completed an energy retrofit project that allows the District to save a significant amount on its energy bills. Most of the lighting was replaced in all of the schools allowing the District to borrow enough funds to replace the 27 heat pumps in the Junior High. This is an example of how the District is committed to finding ways to creatively improve its facilities without burdening the local taxpayer.
