Acclaimed author Richard Paul Evans visited Springboro Junior High School on Tuesday, September 19. Mr. Evans is The New York Times (NYT) best-selling author of the Michael Vey series and has had eighteen consecutive books on the NYT bestseller list.

Mr. Evans gave students a terrific, uplifting message, outlining the obstacles he overcame due to his Tourette's Syndrome. Mr. Evans challenged all student to sit with someone who sits alone at lunch, explaining "you have no idea the difference it will make." In addition, Mr. Evans challenged all students to use their super power, like Michael Vey's electricity, to make the world a better place. Originally, no one wanted to publish Michael Vey. Today, it has sold over three million copies with a T.V. show in the works.
