JROTC Academic Team Advances to Level II Competition

JLAB is a national competition open to over 800 schools with JROTC programs.  The competition is open to all  junior, sophomore, and freshmen cadets.  Also, the team competes as a  group against other schools in a web-based format.  The tests are comprised of English, Math, and Science questions similar to that of the  ACT/SAT.  There is also JROTC curriculum knowledge on the test.   Further, the competition is geared to enhance student skills for the  ACT/SAT.   The 2017-18 Springboro JLAB team members include juniors,  Madison Boeh and Kinley Smith; sophomores, Aysha Choudhury, Hannah Culp,  Ashley Gangaware, and Kaleb Priddy.

The Springboro HS JROTC Joint Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB) team advanced to Level II of the national competition.  Held in October, Level I competition included 327 JROTC teams from across the United States and Europe.  JROTC team is one of 93 teams in their division to make it to Level II.  Level II competition will be held in February 2018.  The top 6 teams to finish in Level II will compete against each other at Level III, which is the Championship, held in Washington DC in June.
