Students Have Their Stories Published in "Spooky Sagas" Book

SI Students

Students at Dennis Elementary and Springboro Intermediate recently had their stories published in a book! Last school year, 4th Grade Dennis Elementary Teacher Deb Covey encouraged her students to participate in the Young Writers Contest. The students were assigned a topic, then wrote and submitted their own poem with the hope of being published into the final book. The students just received their very own printed copy. Congratulations to the following Dennis Elementary and Springboro Intermediate students whose poems were selected to be published in the book, “Spooky Sagas - Ohio Tales.”

Myna Ammula, Addison Appel, Bruno Astudillio, Matthew Cooper, Penelope Ellerbrock, Alivia Floyd, Josie Griffin, Kaylee Hill, Anna Ho, Tristan Jetter, Sam Mazuk, Taylor Meyer, Abigail Minniear, Brielle Ombrello, Kendall Rogers, Edward Sclafani, and Aubrey Stiens

Young Writers was established in 1991, and seeks to encourage young writers to read, write and enjoy poetry, as well as creative writing. Having work published boosts confidence, nurtures creative talent and showcases creativity.
