SHS JROTC Cadet Accepted Into United States Air Force Academy

Paige Sullivan

Paige Sullivan, a Springboro High School Senior and JROTC Cadet, was officially accepted into the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Paige received a phone call directly from Congressman Steve Chabot (1st District of Ohio) informing her that she was accepted/appointed to the US Air Force Academy, and is an official member of the USAFA Class of 2024.

Paige has been extensively engaged in the JROTC program at Springboro High School over the last (4) four years, currently serving as the Cadet Group Commander responsible for leading over 130 cadets in the program. As a sophomore, Paige was hand-selected, along with a select few other students, to create the Kitty Hawk Air Society of JROTC.

During Paige’s Junior year, she was competitively selected for Springboro’s all-academic JROTC Leadership Academic Bowl, and for the West Point Leadership and Ethics Seminar. Also, during Paige’s Junior year, she was selected to receive the Commandant’s Award for placing first out of 156 cadets.

Over the course of Paige’s JROTC career, she has earned a total of three national awards: National Air Commando Association Award, National Sojourners Award, and National American Veterans Award. Paige is also a member of the Springboro High School National Honor Society.

Before one can be considered for appointment to the United States Air Force Academy, you must obtain a nomination. Earlier this year, Paige received her Congressional Appointment nomination from Congressman Steve Chabot. Paige has now received two congressional nominations to the U.S. Military Academy, as well as the U.S. Air Force Academy.
