2018-19 Beginning of the Year Information

August 9:  New Student Orientation, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Junior High students new to the district and their parents will meet with the Junior High administration and school counselors.  Students will receive their class schedule, be able to practice their locker combination, and locate their classrooms throughout the building
 
August 9: Early Schedule Pickup for Special Education Students 12:00-1:00 p.m. Students with disabilities and their parents/guardians are invited to meet the Junior High administration  and their student’s case manager. In addition, the students will receive their class schedule, be able to practice their locker combination, and locate their classrooms. Feel free to stop in at any time during this hour time frame.
 
August 9: Early Schedule Pickup for all seventh and eighth graders, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. - All Junior High students are invited to visit the Junior High to receive their class schedule, practice their locker combination, and locate their classrooms throughout the building. Feel free to bring in school supplies to store in your locker. Visit the building anytime between 2:00-6:00 p.m….the traffic in the hallway is usually lighter later in the afternoon.

Junior High Immunization Update Information for Fall 2018:

Listed below are the requirements from the State of Ohio for students entering 7th grade in the 2018-19 school year. Students are required to submit updated shot records (or a signed immunization exemption letter) to the school nurse before the beginning of the next school year in August 2018.

  • Record of the Tdap booster & the first dose of the Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine.

  • OR, Immunization Exemption Letter must be dated after July 1, 2018 for the 2018-19 school year.

Updated vaccine records can be dropped off throughout the summer months at Central Office with the Receptionist.

The updated record must be turned in to the school in order for your student to receive their Junior High schedule at Early Schedule Pick-up on Thursday, August 9.
