Dennis Elementary was visited by State Representative Scott Lipps. Mr. Lipps talked about the "Become a Legislator for a Day" essay contest for all Warren County students in 4th Grade. Most 4th Graders in Springboro Schools have entered the essay contest, which invites students to research a famous person from Warren County and explain how that person made an impact on the State of Ohio and/or the United States as a whole.
The selected winners will be invited to spend a day in Columbus touring the Ohio Statehouse, learning about our state government, and even holding a mock legislative session.
The students enjoyed hearing from Mr. Lipps, learning about his prior experience as Mayor of Franklin, OH.
