Springboro HVAC Contractor Steps Up to Help Replace Aging Turf at Stadium

In 2018, Springboro Schools faced the daunting task of finding funds to replace the high school football field and running track, both of which were worn. Springboro is blessed to have an amazing number of local businesses that bleed “Boro Blue” and faithfully support the community school system by sponsoring its programs and athletic teams.

Rather than use tax money, the school board approached a handful of long-term sponsors with a stadium naming rights plan to fund the turf project. Watkins Heating & Cooling could not pass up the opportunity to support the schools and give back to the very community that helped them start an HVAC company in Springboro more than twenty five (25) years ago.

With the generous support of Watkins and others, we were able to not only replace the turf, but also upgrade to a state-of-the-art shock-absorbing base pad. The new field looks great and helps to reduce athlete injuries. See photos of the project here.

The commitment of the Watkins family to provide comfort to their neighbors has earned a reputation of service, integrity, and reliability. Watkins Heating & Cooling continues to grow rapidly and to search for great people to join their team.
