SHS Science & Engineering Club Robot Wars Teams

SHS Robot Wars Club

The Springboro High School Science and Engineering Club Robot Wars teams competed at the Xtreme Bots Robot Wars competition that was held at Wright State University.

Three teams competed over all and finished First Place, Second Place and Fourth Place. The program challenges teams to design and build robots out of metal that will compete against other teams in order to disable or severely damage the robots in order to gain enough points to advance to the next round. Students involved with the program can be of any level at the high school as they will learn all the skills that are necessary to compete.

The robot wars program at Springboro High School is sponsored by Dayton Progress who donates metal, electrical components, and two experienced mentors. The program is also sponsored by Millennium Metals, who donates metal, and GSS Printing Equipment, who provides the space and machinery to actually manufacture the robots.

All of the robots are designed and made by the students, which allows them to have a rich and memorable experience in engineering and manufacturing.
