SHS: Battery-Powered Cars

Battery-Powered Cars

You know what they say; a little gear ratio and programming go a long way! Springboro High School (SHS) students in Mr. Broderick’s Principle of Engineering Class (Project Lead The Way - PLTW) put their knowledge of gear ratios and programmed race cars to the test. These battery-powered cars were able to go around 4 mph on the SHS gym floor, as students enjoyed working through the challenges of getting their cars to go fast and in a straight line.
