Dear Parents:
I regret to inform you that, due to health reasons, Mrs. Diane Stacy will not be returning as Principal of Springboro Intermediate for the 2018-2019 school year. Mrs. Stacy recently underwent surgery for lingering medical issues, and as a result, will need ample time to recover. Mrs. Stacy has been an amazing leader who always kept students first. We will miss seeing her smiling face, in the hallways, each day.
I am pleased to share that for the 2018-2019 school year, Dr. Ron Malone and Mr. Bob Thompson will serve as interim Co-Principal for Springboro Intermediate. Both Dr. Malone and Mr. Thompson come with a wealth of administrative experience, including experience in Springboro School buildings. In previous years, Dr. Malone served as Springboro High School Principal and Mr. Thompson served as Junior High Principal.
Both Dr. Malone and Mr. Thompson will attend the required “staff days” together, along with the first few days of school with students. During the majority of the school year, however, they will not be working on the same days. Only one interim Co-Principal will be in the building at a time, and there will always be one Co-Principal, Dr. Malone or Mr. Thompson, in the building during the school day. Communication between Dr. Malone, Mr. Thompson, and the Springboro Intermediate staff will remain fluid.

Both of these outstanding leaders are interim Co-Principals for the 2018-2019 school year. During the spring, 2019, we will begin the search process for the full time Principal of Springboro Intermediate.
