Springboro High School Student Awarded 4-Year Air Force ROTC Scholarship
Madison Boeh Earns United States Air Force Scholarship

Springboro High School senior, Madison Boeh, has been awarded a four (4) year, Air Force ROTC scholarship.  This will be a "Type 2" scholarship, according to the United States Air Force. 

The scholarship is approved for any major at any university or college, and will pay approximately $18,000 annually for tuition/fees. The scholarship also includes a separate annual book stipend, as well as a personal monthly stipend while she is in school. In total, the scholarship is worth approximately $90,000 over the course of four (4) years. Madison has already been accepted to the Ohio State University, with plans to attend in the fall of 2019.

Madison has been a stand-out, top performing cadet the last three (3) years. She's been in JROTC her entire high school career. As a freshman cadet, Madison was named the top 9th grade cadet of the entire freshman class. She was also a distinguished graduate of the Ohio Valley Leadership School, a summer camp program for JROTC cadets. Of the 150+ students that attended from eight different high schools, Madison finished the camp as a distinguished graduate in the top 10%.

Madison has held several leadership positions in the cadet corps. As a senior, she was competitively selected by a rigorous interview board as the Cadet Group Commander of the corps for the fall semester. Madison was also an integral part of the JROTC Drill team which won two State Championships in 2017-18 and a National Championship in 2017.

Lastly, Madison has achieved the highest levels of academic success in the classroom. She is a member of National Honor Society. According to terms of the scholarship, once Madison graduates from college and receives her degree, she will be commissioned into the Air Force as a second lieutenant and will serve on active duty for four (4) years.   

In addition, Springboro Schools has four (4) more seniors at Springboro High School who will be competing for Navy, Army, and Air Force ROTC scholarships, still this school year. Madison was an early applicant, having been awarded early in the selection process.
