Message to Dennis Families on April 29, 2016

Late on Tuesday, April 26 we reported that a group of students have been passing out and/or taking "look-a-like drugs" including white pills while at Dennis Elementary. The investigation is now complete. Superintendent Todd Petrey and Principal Terrah Hunter have created a video message to families. As always, we appreciate the partnership we share with Dennis families and we are grateful for your attention and cooperation.

TenMarks Engages Students in Math

A committee with teachers and parents reviewed math curriculum options over the last year. The group selected TenMarks as our new elementary math program. You can learn more about it with Five Points teacher Mr. Homer Knightstep in this video.

Words of Gratitude at Dennis Elementary

What started as a teacher appreciation idea from PTO volunteers at Dennis Elementary quickly turned into a wall of thanks. The "tree" has grown from a few "leaves" to hundreds of thank you notes. In the main hallway at Dennis, you can see how the students, staff, and volunteers at Dennis are coming together in November to show gratitude to all of the people who make Dennis a great school.

Student Council Swearing In

Congratulations to our fifth grade student council members. These students were sworn into office by Springboro Mayor John Agenbroad during a special ceremony on November 30.

Congratulations Dennis EPIC Teacher of the Year: Kara Keller!

The Springboro Schools’ District Parent Council (DPC) developed the EPIC Award to recognize teachers and staff who Engage, Prepare, Inspire, and Challenge students. This year's nominations extended from preschool through high school and from nearly all subject areas. “The common theme throughout all of the nominations was that these are professionals who exhibit leadership, sincerity, and truly innovative, student-centered teaching,” said Todd Petrey, Superintendent.
