Five Points Elementary
Counselor's Corner
Dear Parents,
Hello! I am Amy Stumpfl and I am the Guidance Counselor here at Five Points Elementary. For those who may not know me, I am here full time and service both the East and West sides of Five Points School. I am beginning my eighth year as an elementary counselor with Springboro schools and have enjoyed each and every year! Throughout the year I enjoy getting to know all the students through different classroom programs I do on organization, acceptance, self esteem, etc. I also see children individually or in small support groups (friendship, anger management, social skills) throughout the year. I am also the Career Development Representative for Five Points West.
This year we will continue to participate in the Core Essentials program sponsored by Chick- fil-A. Each month we will highlight a different Character Value. We will do weekly announcements related to the word, and in addition I will go into the classroom every month to do a lesson related to that specific value. The teachers will be integrating the character trait into everyday lessons and activities whenever possible. Our vision is to have the students as well as all staff demonstrating the core values to promote a positive, respectful atmosphere throughout the school building. Within the classroom the children are rewarded with “Value-able” cards for a free kid’s meal every time they are seen demonstrating the monthly character trait.
Another part of my job is to help students who may be dealing with family issues such as a family illness, death, or divorce. Feel free to contact me if your child is dealing with something out of the ordinary. I look forward to assisting your child in having an enjoyable, positive learning experience here at Five Points. You can contact me at 748-6090. I look forward to a wonderful year getting to know all the students!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Amy Stumpfl
School Guidance Counselor
P.S. - I will be posting on-going counseling information and activities on this “Counselor’s Corner” page. Feel free to check back often.
