Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome to Springboro Community Schools’ web site. It is our hope that you will find this site helpful and informative. All of us work hard to keep this site current with the most up-to-date information. As a result, if you see something that is outdated or needs addressed, please contact the webmaster at webmaster@springboro.org . We will be happy to work with you on whatever changes and/or additions need to be made.

Springboro Community Schools continues to grow with about 220 to 250 new students each year. For the 2008-2009 school year, we closed the school year with 5,457 students registered.  That is a huge increase over a few years when in 2000-2001 we had 3,501 students enrolled. Our prediction for the 2009-2010 is 5,652, which will make us the second largest school district in Warren County.  We continue to be the largest employer in the Springboro/Clearcreek Township community, and enjoy a strong working relationship with our local governments and civic organizations.

Two years ago the Ohio Department of Education added a higher rating of schools, “Excellent with Distinction”.  Prior to that time the highest rating a school district could obtain was “Excellent”.  The “Excellent with Distinction” rating requires that districts not only pass the State student tests, but also show growth and improvement in student scores.  Both of the years that this higher rating has been available, Springboro Community City Schools have earned this highest of ratings.  This is a tribute to the staff, administration, Board of Education, students and the community of Springboro Community City Schools.

Academically, Springboro Community Schools has established itself as one of the best school districts in the State of Ohio. We cannot, however, rest on our accomplishments.  Our students are preparing for a life in a world that is yet to be defined and vastly different than the one in which their parents have and will live.  Our students must be prepared to work in a global work force competing for the best jobs with other students around the world.  This challenge will shape our schools, our curriculum, and our future.  We challenge each and every one of you to help us keep our students competitive.

We would like to personally invite all of our residents to visit your schools at any time. We would love to meet with you and answer any questions you may have.
