Step 1 :   Your teacher will read the book Diary of a Worm  by Doreen Cronin.

Step 2: Form a group of 4. 
             Each person in the group will choose a                    different fish labeled below.       
             You will research only this type of fish.
             Click on the fish you would like to research              after Step 3.

Step 3:   Print a copy of the data collection sheet.

Step 4:  Research your fish imagining that you are that fish.
             Research and record on your data collection sheet.
            
1. What other animals live in your habitat?

2. Who are your predators?
          
3. What other dangers may you face?

4. What changes might happen in your habitat?

5. Name some interesting facts about you as
a fish.

Step 5:  Write a diary entry to your fish father sharing your adventures and dangers as a lost fish.  Explain what your habitat is like and what harmful or beneficial changes have occurred. Refer back to your research and think about the ideas in
Diary of a Worm.   Make it creative!  Try to think what it would be like to be a fish.
