More than 1,500 active parent volunteers give their time to Springboro Community City Schools. From running copies to playing math games, from Camp Kern to our lunchrooms and book fairs, our schools benefit from tens of thousands of volunteer hours every year. The safety of our students is our first priority. All volunteers are required to have current BCI and FBI fingerprint background checks on file with the district before they can volunteer. If you would like to volunteer in your child’s classroom, go on a field trip, lead an after school program, coach, or help in any capacity with our students, you must have the FBI and BCI fingerprint background checks on file with our schools. These checks are good for five years.
Parents and community members who would like to volunteer in our schools can have a background check done at any time. Prior to 2014, volunteers might have completed either the BCI or FBI check, but not both. Since 2014, both background BCI and FBI checks are required.
Contact your school’s building secretary to confirm if you have both volunteer background checks on file.

It can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for the district to receive the results. Please plan ahead accordingly.
