Announcements for Parents

Senior Lunch Accounts:
Graduating seniors with lunch account balances have several options:
1. If school fees have not been paid, parents can request lunch balance be applied to school fees.
2. If there is a younger sibling in the district, parent may request the senior’s lunch balance be transferred to the sibling.
3. Parent may request a refund of lunch balance.
To start any of these processes parents should email Kathleen Poor, Food Service Director. Please include the student's full name, sibling's name if requesting transfer and mailing address if requesting refund.

COVID-19 Health Update:
As a reminder, it is critical that if your student, or a family member in your household, has been tested for COVID-19 and you’re still awaiting results, please remain home until the results of the test are known. Do not have your student report to school while you’re awaiting results. Also, if your student or a family member in your household has tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home to self-quarantine.
Do not report to school if either of these scenarios apply to you or your family. Only, if we work together, as a district, as parents, and as community members can we continue to maintain a safe school environment for all of our students and staff.
Please review further information related to health procedures for attending school on our website - http://www.springboro.org/COVID-19Resources.aspx (Clinic Nurse Information Tab)

COVID-19 Data (Students & Staff):
The district has available data showing the number of confirmed, positive COVID-19 cases for both students and staff, throughout each school building, within a one-week time frame, as is required to be reported to the State of Ohio. Each week's data for the current school year will be archived for view.

Meningococcal Vaccines- 2021-2022 Incoming 12th Grade Students:
There are vaccine requirements by the Ohio Department of Health for all incoming 12th Grade Students.
2 Doses of the meningococcal vaccine must be administered prior to entry of Grade 12. The recommended MCV4 minimum interval is at least 8 weeks between dose one (1) and dose two (2). If the first (1st) dose of MCV4 was administered on or after the 16th Birthday, a second (2nd) dose is not required.

If you choose not to immunize your child, then an Exemption Letter must be completed. This can be found on the district website. Exemption Letter must be completed after July 1st, 2021.
These are required for ALL students including full time CCP, full time WCCC, and remote students.
PLEASE PROVIDE AN UPDATED COPY of the VACCINE RECORD TO THE SCHOOL as Verification that your child has had the Meningococcal (MCV4) Vaccines.
Updated vaccine records can be emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 937-748-6040
Low cost immunizations are available through the Warren County Health Department. You can call them at 513-695-2097.

School Fees:

This school year is unlike any other. In particular, as it relates to school fees, we wanted to share a few details on the particulars of school fees given the structure of this current school year.
As all students in Springboro Schools are given the option of transitioning between our Model A (in-person) and Model B (at-home/virtual) by quarter, this proves difficult when assessing school fees mid-year. Given this, we will review the school fees for our Model B students at the conclusion of the school year. In the event a Model B student did not receive all items within the school fee structure, those particular fees (or fee) will be prorated by quarter, and a credit or refund will be applied. Again, this will be done so at the end of this school year for any student who was in Model B during a particular quarter.

School fees for the High School have been updated and can be paid online through Pay Schools Central. To access Pay Schools Central, click on the ‘Parents’ tab on the main web-page for Springboro Schools -www.springboro.org
In addition, school fees can be paid by check, made payable to ‘Springboro High School’. This can be dropped off at SHS, sent with your student to the High School, or sent by mail. Please contact the main office at 937-748-3950 with any questions.
In accordance with State and Federal law, Springboro Community City Schools will provide reasonable accommodations to persons with disabilities who wish to attend and/or participate in school events. Such individuals should notify the Superintendent if they require a reasonable accommodation.
