Clever Student Portal
Springboro Schools uses a single sign-on portal called Clever to access online programs. The district chose Clever’s platform for its robust privacy policy and FERPA compliance, as well as its ease of use for students. Essentially, Clever is a landing page where various programs integrate with Google and our Student Information System. This portal allows students to log in one time instead of having several logins. This single sign-on assists our younger students who have difficulty typing and our older students who use multiple programs.
Since this program integrates with Google, students must be logged into their Springboro Google account (personal Gmail accounts will not work).
In kindergarten, first, and second grades, students use a QR code to log in at school. Students can access their accounts at home or on personal devices with the Google login credentials above. For tablets or iPads, install the Clever app from the App Store. This app will allow the camera to be activated and students can scan in badges to access the portal.
Note: Elementary school students do not have an email account. This account gives them access to Google Doc, Drive, Clever, etc. Once students are in sixth grade, email is activated but can only be used in-house for contacting teachers or peers for school help.
