What a wonderful Veterans' Day celebration we had today across the district! All of our schools hosted a variety of activities to honor our veterans today. At Dennis Elementary, students/staff held a car parade to thank and show support for our military families. Over at Five Points Elementary, students were able to join their family veteran on stage for a lunch provided by the school with plenty of decorations, letters, cards, and even a poem reading!
The SHS Purple Star support staff purchased Heather's Apples for all of our SHS veteran staff members. In addition, 937Ink generously donated a special military “BORO” t-shirt to EVERY veteran staff member in the district! All district veteran staff members also received a special certificate thanking them for their service signed by Superintendent Carrie Hester and Board of Education President Dave Stuckey.
On behalf of everyone at Springboro Schools, we thank and honor all the men and women who have served and are continuing to serve our country in the armed forces. Not just today...everyday. Thank you.
