On October 27, District Communications Coordinator Scott Marshall and Executive Director of Business Operations Scott Gilbert were guest speakers for a virtual panel discussion at the 2022 OHSPRA/OSBA Fall Workshop. Mr. Marshall, who serves on the OHSPRA Board of Directors, and Mr. Gilbert spoke about Springboro Schools’ great relationship with the City of Springboro, Springboro Police Department, and Clearcreek Township Fire Department, along with the district’s work on school safety and security and how to effectively communicate the steps a district can take to keep schools safe, secure, and informed.

The statewide panel discussion was attended by more than 70 public school administrators across the State of Ohio, including Board Members, Superintendents, and Pubic Relations/Communications professionals.

Guest speakers on the panel also included David Lyle, Business Manager of Operations/Safety and Security with Springfield City School District; Jon Hood, Director of Student Services, Safety and Security with New Albany-Plain Local Schools; and Patrick Gallaway, Director of Communications, New Albany-Plain Local Schools and OHSPRA Board Member.
