Based on details related to the district’s notification last evening, regarding a confirmed case of COVID-19 involving a Springboro High School (SHS) team, Miamisburg City Schools has informed Springboro Schools that tonight’s varsity football game (Friday, Sept. 11), at Miamisburg, will be cancelled. We appreciate the collaborative efforts in speaking with Miamisburg City Schools, in regards to their decision.

Both districts will be working together to reschedule this varsity football game in the future, and will communicate details as soon as a rescheduled date has been set.

Those who purchased tickets for tonight's game (Friday, Sept. 11) can be reimbursed in the Athletic Office on weekdays between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. Tickets can also be exchanged for the away game at Springfield, scheduled for September 25th. If you have any ticket reimbursement questions, please contact Kyle Longworth at [email protected]

Saturday's Junior Varsity (JV) football game at CareFlight Field at Watkins Stadium is canceled. The Freshman football game at Springboro is still on as scheduled (Saturday, Sept. 12 - 12:00pm). The Springboro Freshman football team practices separately from their JV and Varsity.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and appreciate your continued support of our student-athletes, as well as your patience and flexibility throughout these difficult circumstances.

Thank you,
