Springboro High School's (SHS) Interact Club held their first meeting yesterday, and wow what a turnout! Over 40+ students attended and were led by Interact Club Advisor, and SHS Teacher, Leslie Berg.
The students heard from Rotary Club of Springboro President Troy L. Patton and Past President Tony Sisson before breaking out into group activities. Also, joining the students were Rotary District 6670 Interact Coordinator Wendy Kissel, as well as a representative from Rotary Club of Mason/Deerfield.
Interact clubs bring together students to develop leadership skills, while discovering the power of "Service Above Self." Interact Clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. The Rotary Club of Springboro sponsors the SHS Interact Club as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.
