District Earns 5-Star Rating on State Report Card

SHS Students

Springboro Schools earned an Overall 5-Star Rating, the highest possible, based on the newly released ODE State Report Card. As published Thursday, Sept. 14 by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), Springboro Schools’ 2022-2023 State Report Card results illustrate the district earned an Overall Rating of 5-Stars, the highest rating possible for “significantly exceeding state standards.” The state report card is one of several tools the district uses to measure our schools' performances in areas critical to success in learning. We fully recognize there are always going to be areas of growth and we are addressing all of these daily throughout our school district. Our Curriculum Department, led by Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Andrea Cook and Director of Elementary Instruction Liz Gruber, will present the district’s data to the Board of Education on Wednesday, October 25.

“This is only one part of Springboro Schools’ story,” said Superintendent Carrie Hester. “We are thrilled to be rated amongst the top school districts in Warren County and the State of Ohio. In Springboro Schools, preschool through high school, staff, teachers, and community, we are all Panthers, and the work we do on a daily-basis builds towards academic success and a positive culture. Report cards focus on assessments and what the district has already done, and not how the district plans to make improvements in the future. To get a full, clear picture of our district’s efforts, I encourage you to volunteer at our schools, attend our many events, talk to educators, parents, students, and community partners, and view our website, social media, and district Strategic Plan. There are a lot of great things happening in Springboro Schools!”
