Congratulations to the members selected to the district's Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Our district is committed to creating and promoting a culture of respect, tolerance, and inclusion for all people, and we greatly appreciate their willingness to be a part of this committee.

Over 140 applications were received. These applications were reviewed over the course of multiple weeks. First, by all building level administrators, then by our district’s central office administrators, and finally Superintendent Larry Hook and two Board of Education members, Jamie Belanger and Lisa Babb. This review process proved to be a lengthy and challenging endeavor, given the immense number of remarkable applications from each individual.

The district’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which totals nineteen (19) members, and is comprised of students, administrators, board members, teachers, staff, parents, and community members, representing a vast range of diverse backgrounds, who will look for ways to put these values into practice. The committee's goal is to have open and honest conversations, in order to develop awareness, as well as to find ways to place our common values throughout all of Springboro Schools.

The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 16 (6:00pm) at the Springboro Junior High School Library – 1605 S. Main St., Springboro, OH 45066. Click Here to View the District Committees' Webpage.
