Our new school buses have started to arrive! This morning, two (2) brand new school buses were delivered to the district Transportation Dept., with three (3) more expected to arrive next week. In the coming weeks, these new buses will need to go through routine inspection before being implemented into the fleet. This is anticipated to happen by early October.
All total, the district has ordered ten (10) new buses. These buses were able to be purchased through the district’s Permanent Improvement (PI) funds. This was a necessity, given numerous buses in the district’s current fleet had reached their life-expectancy in both age and mileage.
