To Our Springboro Families:

Please take a moment to recognize the amount of work you, your student(s), our staff, and our community have had to endure during this unprecedented school year. Watching us all come together to complete a remarkably challenging school year, both in-person and virtual, was nothing short of historic. I want to thank every one of you for your patience, understanding, perseverance and dedication.

As you embark on a much-deserved summer break, I want to inform you of a few updates for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. Beginning at the end of the day today, June 3, face coverings will no longer be required districtwide for students, teachers, or staff. This includes our extended learning program over the summer. This applies to the school building, classroom, transportation, and outdoor areas on district grounds. While face coverings are no longer required, we do encourage the use of a face covering, if you have not been vaccinated.

Also, beginning next school year (August 2021) the district will be 100% in-person learning for all grade levels. There will be no Model B/Virtual option. School start/dismissal times will return to their regular schedule. More details about this will be shared as we get closer to the start of next school year.

As we implement these changes back to pre-pandemic conditions, we will continue to work closely with both the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and the Warren County Health District (WCHD), on any updated guidelines that may develop throughout the summer months. If there are any changes, per new guidance from the State or County health departments, we will communicate this to you.

I wish you all a safe, relaxing, wonderful summer break and that you have the chance to enjoy time together with your family and friends. As always, we thank you for your continued cooperation, and look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

Sincerely,
Larry Hook, Superintendent
