Andy McCloud, who participated in Springboro Robotics during his four (4) years at SHS from 2018 through his graduation in 2022, is currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology and was awarded the "Logan Michael Turner Scholarship" in honor of Logan Turner (SHS '08), one of the nine victims of the Oregon District shooting in 2019.

The scholarship was created by Logan Turner's parents, Danita and Michael Turner, to help Sinclair students pursuing degrees in engineering. Logan received his Associate of Science in Engineering Technology from Sinclair, after graduating from Springboro High School.

While at SHS, Andy McCloud was an integral part of his Springboro Robotics team, "Electro-Mechanically Controlled Chaos (EMC^2)," as one of two lead builders. Andy also oversaw the mechanical design and prototyping for his team.

“I am very honored to be chosen for the Logan Michael Turner Scholarship," said McCloud. "I had heard wonderful things about Logan, that he was a bright student with a promising future ahead of him. More importantly, I had heard he was a wonderful person, son, and friend. I hope that in a way, I can honor Logan’s legacy by doing well in my studies and in a future career in the field of engineering."
