CE Student Surprises Fav Custodian With Wheelchair-Accessible Costume
SHS/WCCC Students, CE Student, & Mr. Keith
The only trick at Clearcreek Elementary this morning turned out to be a treat for Mr. Keith! Clearcreek first grader, Owen Moore, wanted to dress as his favorite Head Custodian Keith "Mr. Keith" Shockley for Halloween. With the help of SHS/Warren County Career Center students in Mr. Roy Broderick's Principles of Engineering class, Owen's wheelchair was transformed into a replica of Mr. Keith's Zamboni. Mr. Keith had no idea what Owen had planned and received a sweet surprise during the school's Trick-or-Treat Halloween celebration parade.

When other local costume builds were full, Owen's mother reached out to Springboro Schools with the idea for Owen's costume. Ms. Moore was put in touch with Mr. Broderick's class who spent about a month in class gathering materials, creating, and building Owen's "Zamboni."
