Springboro Robotics Tour WPAFB Museum
Springboro Robotics Group
A team from the Springboro Robotics Group (5th - 9th Grade) recently went on a behind-the-scenes tour of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at WPAFB (88th Air Base Wing).
The students talked to airplane mechanics who restore the old airplanes, archivists who take in and preserve the artifacts, and curators who rehab artifacts. The students also saw how the exhibits are made for public viewing.
This year, the group’s theme is "Masterpiece," where the students have been researching and coming up with solutions on how STEM plays a role in art. The trip to WPAFB helped the students to see how all the pieces of STEM work cohesively.
