Springboro High School (SHS) Panthers' Swimmer Max Christensen was named the 2022-2023 Penn Station Athlete of the Year. WDTN's Jack Pohl, along with Penn Station's Missi Arey and Keith Gavin, presented a $10,000 college scholarship award to Max yesterday afternoon in Miami Township.
Christensen, who was named GWOC Athlete of the Year this season, set ten (10) school records with the Panthers. In addition, Max was named an SHS Distinguished Graduate for 2023, which recognizes students who meet extremely high academic standards during their time at SHS.
Max will continue his education and swimming career at Villanova University.
