District Receives $350K in CARES Act Funds
Warren County Commissioners
Springboro Schools would like to thank the Warren County Board of Commissioners, who voted unanimously to grant Springboro Schools $350,576.27 of the funds Warren County received as part of the CARES Act. The district will use these funds on expenses that have already occurred, due to COVID-19, as well as additional needs identified by the district to include cleaning supplies and instructional software to further enhance remote learning capabilities.

The Warren County Board of Commissioners Tom Grossmann, Shannon Jones, and David Young presented a check to the district on Tuesday, December 1st at the Board of County Commissioners public meeting. There to receive the check were Superintendent Larry Hook, Treasurer Terrah Stacy, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Andrea Cook, and District Communications Coordinator Scott Marshall.

According to Scott Marshall, the schools will use the grant money towards additional facility and technological improvements, which will help facilitate remote learning and social distancing within school buildings, in order to comply with the continued expense of COVID-19 precautions. “The COVID-19 pandemic has proved costly for our district, as well as all other school districts affected. This CARES Act Grant will be another tremendous help to our students, families, teachers and staff, at a time when it’s needed most. This is another great example of the outstanding community support we have here in Warren County.”
