SHS AP Research Alum Speaks on Nuclear Engineering
SHS AP Research Student
Springboro High School (SHS) AP Research students enjoyed hearing about the research process from Morgan Smith, SHS ('19). Morgan is a Junior at Purdue University who is majoring in Nuclear Engineering.

Morgan's research project involves studying sodium corrosion in molten salt reactors, which will help determine what materials should be used to build reactor cores. Morgan's presentation walked the AP Research students through her steps in the literature review, methodology, and analysis/findings, which are all steps AP Research students will complete this year as they conduct their own research and collect their own data.
