On Tuesday, Sept. 10, It’s Time 2’s founder, Dr. Brian Ceccarelli, spoke to Springboro Junior High School (SJHS).
Dr. Ceccarelli's impactful presentation uses real stories to inspire young people to accept one another, treat each other with respect regardless of their perceived differences, empower students to make the right choices and to speak openly about the reality of bullying, mental health issues, and teen suicide.
Dr. Ceccarelli's presentation aligns with Springboro Schools' Character Educational/SEL initiative. The presentation was discovered by Stacey Cavanaugh, an SJHS teacher and member of the district's Character Education team. Cavanaugh met Dr. Ceccarelli during a weekend Jim Place training. Both Stacey Cavanaugh and Assistant Principal Randi Bargo-Smith attended and vetted one of Dr. Ceccarelli's presentations at a Centerville Middle School this past school year.
