Panther Kick-Off 2017 is the first step in your orientation to Springboro High School. It is a one-day orientation for incoming ninth graders that is led by a staff of SHS students and teachers.

What will be accomplished? Students will receive their full schedule and have a chance to find their classrooms. Also, students will receive their locker assignment and have the opportunity to find and open their new locker. There will be a building tour and a mock bell schedule to help students learn to navigate the building. Students will learn about important issues from Panther Kick-Off Mentors (PKOMs), and they will meet and hear from administrators and counselors. Finally, students will hear about the many activities available at Springboro High School.

WHERE: Springboro High School

WHEN: Thursday, August 10, 2017, 8:45 am – 2:30 pm. Please report by 8:30 am (Late registration begins at 8:15 am). Parents will drop off students in front of the commons/auditorium, and students will proceed into the commons for further directions.

EXPECTATIONS: Students will follow all school rules, including dress code, during orientation. There is no reason for students to have hats or cell phones throughout the day.

Fee: $15.00 registration fee includes lunch & class t-shirt.

The t-shirts will be delivered to students within the first few weeks of the school year.

Parents’ Meeting: There will be a meeting for parents of 9th graders at 1:45pm in the SHS auditorium. Parents will be able to meet up with their child after the meeting to tour the high school. Parents attending this meeting can park in the bus or visitor area.
