SJHS Entrance & SR 741 Construction Update

Update from the City of Springboro - We wanted to let the community know about the next major roadway project on SR 741. Beginning the week of May 28, traffic construction signs started popping up near the Springboro Junior High School entrance on SR 741. Plans are to begin reconstruction of that intersection around Monday, June 11.

The City is planning to reconfigure that intersection, widen it and add dedicated turn lanes both north and south to provide easier and safer access to the Junior High School. Once completed, this should go a long way to alleviating the traffic in that area during school times.

The entrance to the Junior High School will remain open during construction. Traffic on SR 741 will be maintained, as well.  If the weather cooperates, the project is scheduled to be completed by August 2, which would leave ample time before the start of school.

As always, we will keep the public informed of the construction progress. And we thank you for your patience during all these types of projects.
