Five Points Elementary 5th Grade student and swimmer, Daylin Drayton, has been selected to represent Team Ohio at the 2020 Mid-States All Star Championships.
To be selected for the team, participants must have one (1) of the four (4) fastest times in the State of Ohio in an event. Drayton was selected to compete in the 100 Backstroke, 50 Backstroke, and 50 Breaststroke.
When asked about making the team, Daylin stated “I’m very proud to represent my state in the sport I love. I’m also very excited to see friends I’ve made from across the state at different meets.”
The 14 & Under All-Star Mid-States Championships meet at IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN is set to take place on January 4th & 5th. This is a USA Swimming sanctioned event.
Lake Erie Swimming and Ohio Swimming join to form Team Ohio to compete in the 14 & Under Mid-states All Star Championships.
The six teams competing are: Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
