AP Research Final Presentations

AP Research Final Presentations:

The AP Research PODs, presentation and oral defense, took place on Saturday, April 26th.  This official, final presentation is 15-20 minutes in length and worth 25% of the student's total AP exam score.  After the student presents, a panel asks each presenter a total of three oral defense questions so that he/she can reflect upon his/her process.

What is AP Research? In this course, students design, plan, and implement a yearlong, in-depth study or investigation in an area of personal interest through a chosen or designed inquiry method and develop a well-reasoned argument based on the evidence collected in an academic paper of 4,000–5,000 words. As a culmination of their research, students deliver a presentation and orally defend their research design, approach, and findings.

Springboro High School is very proud of our fifteen AP Research students and all of their accomplishments throughout the year.
