The Springboro Schools' Pajama Day this week was a huge success, raising over $3,200 for children in need!
This past Tuesday, Dec. 12th, Springboro Schools’ staff/students, in
all buildings, were asked to donate $1.00 towards the Warm Hugs
nonprofit program, established at the Dayton Foundation, in exchange for
wearing pajamas.
Warm Hugs is a nonprofit program that serves
to provide a blanket to Hispanic children living in the Miami Valley who
lack basic necessities. In total, Springboro Schools' managed to raise over $3,200 towards the Warm Hugs Fund.
In addition, Springboro Schools also received help from several
organizations for the Warm Hugs nonprofit program, including
Springboro’s Junior Rotary Club (Springboro Interact), Students Against
Destructive Decisions (SADD), and High Hopes 4 Kids.
All proceeds
will go towards the Warm Hugs nonprofit program, a component of the
Dayton Foundation, for the purchase of a new blanket to those children
in need. Thank you to everyone for your support!
