SJHS Student Mural Project & BOE Presentation
Stacey Cavanaugh, Springboro Junior High Teacher, and Ellie Russell-Zink, a 7th grader at Springboro Junior High, presented to the Board of Education at tonight's meeting on the recent mural Ellie painted on the commons’ wall at the Junior High.
The imagination of Ellie Russell-Zink came to life this month amongst classmates. Ellie painted a large mural, which will be visible to the many future visitors of the school. The mural is a large puzzle representing everyone fitting together in our school/world. The three (3) month process began in November, where Ellie conceptualized, drew, and eventually painted the piece, putting in hours after school to complete.
Stacey Cavanaugh, a Teacher at the Junior High, led the mural’s unveiling with Ellie Russell-Zink, which was attended by Board member Lisa Babb and Superintendent Carrie Hester.
