Safety Exercise - All School Buildings

Springboro Logo

We wanted to make you aware that Springboro Schools, in partnership with the Springboro Police Department will be conducting a safety exercise, as mandated by the State of Ohio, the morning of Wednesday, March 9 at all school buildings. The district will be working with local law enforcement to conduct a full-scale emergency management test for 2022. This provides us an opportunity to complete our EMT full-scale safety drill requirement. This will require all buildings to go into a shelter-in-place for approximately thirty (30) minutes, which is the required time length for this safety drill.

Classes will continue as scheduled with minimal disruption during the shelter-in-place. All school functions inside the building will still be able to be conducted.

Safety measures in Ohio schools have expanded the emergency management test requirements, which include conducting security drills and full-scale exercises. The security drill being conducted the morning of Wednesday, March 9 at all school buildings is a requirement for school districts, as mandated by the State of Ohio.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our district office at 937-748-3960.
