In August 2016, Springboro Community City Schools launched a new electronic flyer distribution service called PeachJar.
On the new www.Springboro.org, there is a PeachJar link on every homepage. When visitors click on that link, they can view all school and community flyers loaded into the system. If a flyer is targeted to elementary students, it might only post to Clearcreek, Five Points and Dennis. If a flyer is targeted to high school students, it may only be posted to Springboro High School, etc.
To request approval of your flyer, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to all subscribers and also posted online. (Paper flyers from outside organizations will not be distributed in our buildings.)
- Visit www.peachjar.com
- Register as an Enrichment / Community Organization (account type)
- Upload your flyer for approval
Your flyer will automatically be submitted to the district for approval. By using PeachJar, our district is saving the administrative hours for reviewing, revising, posting and advertising community flyers, and your flyer is emailed directly to subscribers. Flyers appear in a visual format (not just a link) online that is formatted for smart phones and tablets. PeachJar charges a nominal fee for this service. If your organization or activity supports a charity or nonprofit organization, it is likely that PeachJar will waive the fee.
Guidelines for Flyer Approval for Springboro Community City Schools
Springboro Schools cooperates with community groups and organizations that sponsor activities of an educational/enrichment nature for students and staff by distributing materials electronically via PeachJar, a free online service for schools. E-flyers will now be emailed directly to parents’ inboxes as well as posted online for easy access. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.
Springboro Schools approves the distribution of flyers that promote
- an educational experience for students, parents, or residents
- a healthy use of leisure time and/or a special enrichment activity or program
- a community event or local fundraiser
Fundraiser Flyers
- must indicate the percent or amount of donation to be made
- must list the school, program, or organization to benefit
- must include district disclaimer BEFORE public posting
Springboro Schools does not approve the distribution of materials for projects, activities or programs that would publicize or promote a particular religious or political organization or political viewpoint, or materials for events deemed not suitable for children.
