Students driving to school and parking their vehicle on school property must have it registered and must display the parking tag in the front window or on the rear view mirror. Parking is provided as a convenience and privilege. School officials retain the right to examine the contents and/or search a vehicle parked on school premises when they have a reasonable suspicion that items contained in the vehicle may interfere with the safe or effective operation of the school. Parking privileges can be taken away at any time and/or disciplinary action taken for the following reasons:
- Tardiness to school (loss of parking as explained in tardy policy)/poor attendance
- Poor driving habits
- Reckless operation of vehicle
- Not following the assigned traffic pattern
- Driving in an off-limits area
- Unsafe vehicle
- Parking tag not properly displayed on rear view mirror
- Not parking in assigned parking space
- Parking in the staff lot
- Students are not allowed to trade/switch parking spaces without prior permission from the administration
- Students are not allowed to drive through the bus pick-up/drop-off area
The school is not responsible for student vehicles or their contents. Students applying for the parking permit accept full responsibility for knowing and following the above regulations. After parking, students are expected to come directly to the building and not sit in their vehicle. Students with repeated violations will lose their parking privileges at school.
