9/7/21 Meeting

Welcome and Introductions 

Board Members Present: 
Jenny, Trina, Amanda, Tara, Katie, Jessica, Adam, Jenn and Mrs. Corder
-Parents were in attendance online via Google Meet. 

September Mumkin Update:
$9,000 left for our goal of $20,000

-Signs-For Fundraiser Pickup
    *Request to purchase reusable signs to help with the maze of pick up in the car line and all fundraisers to free up volunteers 
    *2 Quotes were provided
          UPS Store $160
          Signs Now $158.99
    *$250 max for signage 
Board voted for purchase of signs-vote   approved 
    *UPS store approved for signs to stay local purchase. 

-Communication Lead (Adam) will set up Sign up genius volunteers for Mumkin Fundraiser
    *Biggest need for volunteers is unloading Mums from 7:30am-1:00pm 
    *Use sign up genius in 2 hour windows for mostly in the morning open ended for number 
    *Least amount of volunteers needed is during the late afternoon (for pick up 1-4pm)
     *1-2pm 20 volunteers 
     *2-4 10-20 volunteers
     *PTO will look at recruiting High school and middle school students for  volunteer hours 
     *PTO will provide donuts and coffee for early shift (This Guys Coffee)
     *All volunteers are encouraged to bring your own wagons/garden carts if possible. 

Pick up September 25th 
       
Treasurer Report:
-We are currently 1/3 of the way to start up funds for new teachers
-Teacher Mini Grants must be submitted for review by October 22nd, 2021


Staff appreciation:
-September board and August and September Birthday candy bars have been distributed by Jenn Welter. 
-Newspring Church provided donuts for the first day of school for teachers and faculty.  
-Tara Ebeling and Jenny Jackson provided and k-cups as well as Gluten free options in place of donuts and fruit for first day of school.  
-“Teacher/Faculty favorites lists” will be posted  by Jenn Welter on the Prattle Facebook pages for parents to be able to reference throughout year. 
- Please note that due to new state guidelines teachers can not be given anything valuing more than $25.  

Jessica Jones asked about a few more panther paws by loading zone we will get a volunteer for this.

Night owls:
-Sub Committee led by Kate ZeP
-Committee will work in conjunction with two teachers to help get papers, books, items copied and ready for students.  
-Sign ups form and info went out in Principal Newsletter 
-Communication Lead (Adam) will create  sign up genius to post on Facebook for parents to register. 
-First Thursday of each month in the cafeteria 
6:30-8:30pm
First official date will be October 7th,2021

Thankful tree:
-In prior years a leaf cut out with a picture or words explaining why students love their teachers. 
-Tree will hang by cafeteria on the wall with all the students decorated leaves. 
-Ladies overseeing this activity will send home Leaf Paper by October 4th.  Students will have until that Friday October 8th to return completed leaves.  
-Tree will be completed and in the hall by October 12th.  
Amanda (Vice President) will oversee this activity with the help of Jenn and Misti. Amanda will email them to plan times to create/build tree. 

Spirit wear leftovers:
-PTO has some extra spirit wear items leftover from previous years.  Tara Ebeling will post these items to sell.  
-Items leftover are—Socks, umbrellas, tumblers, little backpacks, Leggings, mini blue shirts, etc.
-Sign up genius will be used to purchase items and will go home with students in backpacks once purchased by parents. 

November - Chipotle fundraiser:
-November 23rd from 4-8pm (at Chipotle in Springboro on 73)
-Take out or eat there 
-If your child wears their mini blue shirts and you a post picture of them online on the PTO Facebook page then your child will receive  a taco squishy prize (for participating in fundraiser).  
-33% of the profit of food sales go to PTO


Christmas Fundraiser 
-Foertmeyer Christmas fundraiser packets of merchandise will be done this winter in place of previously used Texas Roadhouse roll sale.  
-Packets for fundraiser will go home week before Thanksgiving (tentatively) 
-Tentative Pick up of December 4th,2021


Spirit wear sale:
-Springboro Panthers Spirit Wear will go on sale in November.  The items purchased will go home before Christmas.  
-Two Options given for distribution: Parent can pick up spirit wear, if it is a gift ALREADY WRAPPED from 937 ink OR items bought can be sent to the school and sent home with student.  

Next PTO meeting October 5th 9:45-10:45 Google Meet Link will be provided the week before.
